What happens in the first lesson?
Your first lesson is about getting started. We’ll talk about what you want to use German for, where you currently get stuck and which situations are most relevant to you.
From there, we’ll start working on your German and shape future lessons around your goals and everyday life.
Which German level do I need to start?
You don’t need any previous German knowledge to start.
Speak Vienna is suitable for complete beginners as well as learners up to B2. You don’t need to know your exact level or take a placement test before booking.
We’ll simply start from where you are and focus on the German you need for your life, work and everyday situations in Austria.
Can we work on situations from my real life?
Absolutely – that’s a big part of Speak Vienna.
Bring an email from work, a letter from your Hausverwaltung, an upcoming appointment at the Magistrat or a conversation you’d like to prepare for.
We’ll work on the vocabulary, grammar and speaking skills you need for that specific situation.
Do I need to book a package?
No. You can start with a single lesson and see how it feels. If you’d like to continue regularly, lesson packages are available.
What is the difference between online and in-person lessons?
The same personalised approach applies to both. Online lessons give you maximum flexibility, while in-person lessons take place in Vienna.

What is your cancellation policy?

Yes. The 15-minute discovery call is completely free and there’s no obligation to book afterwards.
