These Terms & Conditions apply to German lessons and related services offered by Speak Vienna, Maria Gold.
1. Lessons & bookings
Speak Vienna offers private German lessons online and in Vienna. Appointments can be booked through the booking system on speakvienna.com or arranged directly with Speak Vienna. A booking becomes binding once it has been confirmed by Speak Vienna.
2. Prices & payment
The prices shown on the website at the time of booking apply. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due after booking or upon receipt of the invoice and must be paid within the payment period stated on the invoice. No online payment is required when booking through the website.
3. Cancellation & rescheduling
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment, the full lesson fee may be charged.If a student does not attend an appointment without cancelling, the full lesson fee may be charged.If Speak Vienna has to cancel a lesson, the appointment can be rescheduled at no additional cost. Any amount already paid for that lesson will be credited or refunded.
4. Late arrival
If a student arrives late, the lesson will normally still end at the originally scheduled time. The full lesson fee remains payable.
5. Online lessons
Students are responsible for having a suitable internet connection and device for online lessons. If technical problems on the student’s side prevent or significantly interrupt the lesson, the lesson will generally not be extended or refunded. If technical problems on Speak Vienna’s side prevent the lesson from taking place, a new appointment will be arranged at no additional cost.
6. Teaching materials
Materials provided by Speak Vienna are intended for the student’s personal use. They may not be reproduced, published, shared with third parties or used commercially without prior permission.
7. Learning outcomes
Lessons are individually prepared and designed to support the student’s German language development. However, Speak Vienna cannot guarantee a particular learning outcome, language level, examination result or progress within a specific period of time.
8. Consumer withdrawal rights
Where a booking is made online or otherwise at a distance, consumers may have a statutory right of withdrawal under the Austrian Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz (FAGG). Information about the applicable statutory withdrawal right and how to exercise it is provided separately where required.The statutory withdrawal right is separate from Speak Vienna’s voluntary cancellation and rescheduling policy described above.
9. Applicable law
Austrian law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
